Disability Services and Learning Support Equipment Loans Terms & Conditions

When you sign to accept the equipment and also by collecting and using the equipment you agree to keep to our terms and conditions:

I understand that at all times, the equipment belongs to Bradford College and it is my responsibility to: 

1)    Look after it. I will keep it clean by not eating or drinking on or near the equipment. I will protect it from scratches using the supplied case.

2)    Return all loaned equipment on time (with all associates parts), either on or before the due date. If I fail to return it on time I understand I will be fined for every College working day my equipment is overdue. 

3)    Use the equipment only for my College work. I understand that no members of my family (including my children) are allowed to use or borrow the equipment for any reason. The equipment must not be taken out of the UK for any reason.

4)    If I withdraw from my course I must return any loaned equipment immediately. 

5)    If any loss or damage occurs I must write a statement which precisely describes what happened. This must be given in to the Assistive Technology Development Officer within 72 hours. If the item is stolen I must get a crime number from the Police within 24 hours of the loss. The crime number should be included in the written statement. If the loss or damage is judged to be due to negligence this will result in me having to pay part or the full cost of any repair or replacement.

Email notifications will be sent to remind you nearer the time of the due date, these will come from a system called SISO. You should return the equipment before the due date if you are not using it.  

Fines

If you fail to return your equipment by the due date you will be fined according to the following table. Failure to return the equipment when the maximum fine is reached (after 10 college days) will automatically result in an invoice being sent to you for the replacement cost of the equipment plus outstanding fine.

 BEWARE: 

•       Equipment returns can only be made at the Disability Services Reception Desk. No other area of College will accept the return of your equipment loaned from Disability Services/Learning Support.

•       College working days are Mondays to Fridays throughout a normal calendar year. This applies both in term time and college holidays. Public Holiday days are not included.
